Notes:
The first day of the conference is dedicated to focused sessions, with one session dedicated to workshops for the Volunteer Centre Network, and another for research pertaining to curriculum development or analysis of impact upon students from CSE and CE activities in the TransCanada Forum on Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL). Other potential streams could include social entrepreneurship, environmental conservation, and global service learning.

  1. To keep the conference costs within reason only four full meals will be provided: the welcome dinner, two lunches, and a boxed lunch for people attending field trips. Tea/coffee/juice will be available at breaks.
  2. To ensure accuracy for booking of buses and boxed lunches people must sign up for field trips. As the last day of the conference is on a Friday many people may head to Banff or for home.
  3. A publication CSL Canadian Vignettes, which highlights the CSL experience of 50 Canadian students, with comments provided by their community partners, will be provided to all conference attendees.

Free-time Attendees can meet with friends and colleagues at one of several restaurants that will have reservations booked. People will be able to sign up ahead of time, and also to see who else has signed up.

1. Bus trip to Ann and Sandy Cross Conservation area 1 hour outside Calgary. The session will be lead by Dr. Lynn Moorman and her students, and will include a walk.
